Saludos Desde El Fin Del Mundo!!!

Just got into Ushuaia a few hours ago, and already it reminds me of so many places-Tasmania mostly, with its little town nestled into the hills with all sorts of big boats docked in the harbor... It is a really laid back town, totally overrun with tourists so we feel right at home. Ha!

Tomorrow we are going out to an island by canoe to see a penguin colony which I am super excited about, then on Saturday we are going into the national park and we are going sea kayaking for what looks like miles and miles through the Beagle Channel and back to Ushuaia. Our arms will be noodles by the end I am sure, but it looks so fun I can't wait.

We went to the Musem at the End of the World today, as this city is the southernmost city in the world, and we were looking at a map and I have been to all the southernmost cities- The one on Tasmania, Stewart Island in New Zealand and now Ushuaia. Only Africa is left for me, then the final step, Antarctica. But that will have to wait, it is muy expensive.

Anyway we are off to rest finally, after getting up at the crack of dawn today. We will only be resting, as we want to stay up for sunset-at 11 p.m.! Then we will be hopefully tired enough to sleep through sunrise-4 a.m.!!! It's like Alaska, which is cool, we look forward to the long days-more time to drink beer!
