Pavo Day (Make Way for Turkey Butts!)
We moved into our new place and it's great. We have nailed a bunch of things into the walls and taken off the door to the kitchen, so we are there for good now whether we like it or not. Speaking of there for good, the woman who had our place before us was there for 35 years! Our next door neighbor has been there for like 25. Something about the building I guess, sucks you in and never lets you go. Spooky!
For Levi's birthday we went to our local bar, Trader Sam's, where we are determined to try the Scorpion Bowl one of these days-it's literally a giant bowl with who knows what in it, and they throw in a handfull of straws and everyone just goes at it. To me looks like a giant suck-down of other people's spit, but Levi and his brother Kory thinks it looks good. Go ahead boys!
We also went shopping at Calla Foods, our local grocery store. I even joined the Club. Not like we will be back any time soon-we got bread, cheese and butter and it cost us 15 bucks! Carazy!!! We would rahter go to Bill's, the place down the street for amazuzing burgers. Levi's Dad craves them, adn now that makes three. Good reason to come for a visit!
Yesterday we had Thanksgiving with his family and today I am trying to rally the boys for a shopping trip to the local hot spots-Big Lots and Kohls are close by...I have no money but I love a bargain! Dinner was great and his family is really fun, we played Phase 10 for hours and no one got past phase 5. The game is rigged I tell you!!! I could not for the life of me get 4 of a kind and a straight of 4, and in the meantime I racked up almost 500 points. Grr. Where's a Scrabble board when you need one???
