How Fab Is This???!!!

Our new apartment!!! I signed the lease today. It is absolutely charming. Love it!!!
This is the doorway from the street. I love the tiles and the decorations in the walls and iron.
Entryway to the building. Again, I love the ceiling details.
The view from the doorway into the apartment -- the linen closet and main room.
Main room
View from the main room-out there on the horizon is the Pacific Ocean!
Closet with a murphy (fold-out) bed. Hoping to get that removed to make more room for my clothes and shoes!
Bathroom
Hallway and other room, probably will have dining table and TV
Kitchen
Kitchen with door out to laundry room
View from the roof-that's the Golden Gate Bridge! How cool!
We move in November 15-I can't wait!!!

"We Are Family"

The San Jose Mueum of Art is hosting an exhibit of local families' art, and my family got to be included. Mom, Nana and I will all have art hanging now through Jan. 3. If you look closely you can see our works in the bottom corner. Boo! to the placement, but still, very cool to have our stuff in a real museum! Here's a better look at what we submitted. Clearly I am pointing to my charcoal, Nana's painting is right above it, and Mom's horse photo is above the painting.

Avocado Festival

Levi and I went with his mom to the Carpinteria Avocado and Guacamole Festival a few weeks ago. There we saw a lot of cool stuff, like this, the World's Largest Bowl of Guacamole. Note: to stir it they used a giant canoe paddle. Mmmmm! The local schoolchildren have a contest where they decorate the avocadoes in all sorts of costumes etc.
Avo-bikinis were my favorite!
Levi and his mom with the festival mascot.
All the different types of avocadoes
There were some HUGE ones, too! Man, that would make a big bowl of guacamole!
And yes, it's true, I was named sheriff of Avo-Town.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Cheers to you-I hope it's a great year! And many more...

FORE!

Levi and I have decided to take up golfing, do here we are on our first day on the course. We played 9 holes at Blackberry Farm. Levi is getting ready... Aim...And this one went super far-we basically had to wait for the people ahead of us to entirely finish each hole before Levi could tee off, because since Levi is so new he never knows how far his ball will go. And when he connects, it soars!
Action shot!
Look at that follow through! I have the problem where no matter what club I use the ball goes 125 yards. I could probably tee off with my putter and it would go the same distance. Grr!
